Cassian™ has an official Telegram bot that sends you real-time alerts. Faster than email, works on your phone, and free to use.
Telegram notifications are available on the Protector plan and above. Inspector and Analyst accounts receive email notifications only.
Setting up Telegram
Go to Settings → Notifications and click Connect on the Telegram row
Cassian generates a unique linking code and shows you the exact /start YOUR_CODE command to copy
Open Telegram on your phone or desktop and open @CassianNotificationsBot
Send the /start YOUR_CODE command to the bot
The bot replies to confirm the connection, and the Settings page updates automatically
Once linked, Telegram is active and ready to receive alerts.
Linking codes are single-use and expire after 15 minutes. If yours has expired or been used, click Connect again to generate a new one.
What you receive via Telegram
Telegram receives the same alerts as your other channels, in a consistent format: a title, a short body, and a link to the relevant dashboard page. All ten sources can route to Telegram — scan results, uptime down/recovery, Order Pulse incidents, security findings, broken links, Pricing Pulse, Stock Monitor, sitemap changes, PageSpeed regressions, and the weekly digest.
Uptime and other critical alerts are the ones Telegram is best for — they're time-sensitive, and Telegram is instant.
Choosing which events come to Telegram
Go to Settings → Notifications → What to send where. The matrix shows event sources as rows and channels as columns. Toggle Telegram on or off independently for each source — for example, you might want uptime alerts in Telegram but scan results only by email.
You can also set a minimum severity for the Telegram channel — for example, critical only — so your phone only buzzes for the things that genuinely can't wait.
Bot commands
The bot understands three commands:

Unlinking Telegram
Either click Disconnect on the Telegram row in Settings → Notifications, or send /disconnect to the bot and confirm. The bot stops sending immediately. Your Telegram account is not affected.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Telegram account?
Yes. Telegram is a free messaging app available on iOS, Android, and desktop. Download it from your device's app store or at telegram.org.
Can multiple people on my team receive Telegram alerts?
Each organisation links one Telegram chat. For a team, the best approach is to link a Telegram group chat: add the bot to a group with your team, then send the /start YOUR_CODE command in that group. Everyone in the group sees every alert.
I linked Telegram but I'm not getting messages — what's wrong?
Send /status to the bot to confirm the chat is linked. If it is but stays silent, check that Telegram is toggled on for the relevant sources in the What to send where matrix, and that the Telegram channel's minimum severity isn't filtering the alerts out.
Also note: if deliveries to your chat keep failing — for example, if the bot was blocked or removed from the group — Cassian automatically disables the Telegram channel after 5 consecutive failures (or immediately if Telegram reports the chat is gone). Reconnecting through Settings re-enables it with a clean slate.
Can I mute Telegram notifications at night?
Yes — Cassian's quiet hours hold warning and info alerts during a nightly window you define (critical alerts still break through). Telegram itself also lets you mute a chat's notifications for a set duration if you want total silence.
Is the Telegram bot secure?
Yes. The bot only responds to its linking and status commands — it cannot read your other Telegram messages or access any part of your Telegram account. Linking codes are single-use and expire after 15 minutes.
What if I get a new phone or Telegram account?
Disconnect the current chat (Settings → Notifications → Disconnect, or /disconnect in the chat), then go through the linking flow again from the new account.
