Understanding Your Dashboard

A tour of the main Cassian dashboard — what each section shows and how to navigate.

Understanding Your Dashboard

The main Cassian™ dashboard is the first thing you see after signing in. It's designed around a single principle: what's wrong right now always comes first, and the overall health picture follows. The page opens with your alert status, then a health snapshot with your Cassian Score™, then the detail behind both.

At the top of the page you'll see the site Cassian is monitoring — shown as a read-only chip with the site's name and URL — and, on paid plans, the Run scan now button. On the free Inspector plan, the header notes that scans run automatically on schedule.

Alert status

The first section of the dashboard is your alert status — a large banner that answers the only question that matters at a glance: is anything wrong right now?

The status is built from your active incidents and the health of Cassian's monitors — so "all clear" means your monitors are running and reporting, not just that no incident happens to be open. You'll see one of three moods:

  • All clear (green) — monitors are reporting and no incidents are active.
  • Watching (amber) — a monitor is still establishing its baseline or hasn't reported recently. Not an incident, but not yet a confirmed "all clear."
  • Incident (red/amber) — something needs your attention. The most important active incident is shown inline, with a link through to the incident centre (Alerts in the sidebar).

This section updates in real time — when an incident opens or resolves, the banner changes without a page refresh.

Health snapshot

Below the alert status sits the Health snapshot — the measurements behind your current monitoring status.

The Cassian Score™ ring

The circular graphic in the snapshot is your Cassian Score™ — a number from 0 to 100 that summarises your store's overall health. The score is the summary statistic; the alerts above it are the headline.

The ring is colour-coded:

ScoreColourWhat it means
80–100GreenYour store is in great shape.
60–79AmberPerforming well. A few things to watch.
Below 60RedNeeds attention. Here's what matters most.

Alongside the score you'll see the change since your last scan — a delta badge showing whether your score improved, declined, or held steady — and a trend sparkline across your recent scans. Small fluctuations (1–2 points) between scans are normal. Larger moves mean something changed.

A "See full report" link on the score card opens the latest scan's detail page, with every finding broken down by category.

The ring animates when a new scan completes — you'll see it update in real time without needing to refresh the page.

The snapshot also includes a recent homepage screenshot and a "By The Numbers" strip of headline figures from the latest scan.

If a scan couldn't complete all of its checks, an amber banner appears here reading "Partial scan — some checks could not complete." See Partial scans.

Monitoring sections

Below the snapshot, the dashboard walks through each monitoring system in turn. Sections only appear for features that are enabled on your site and plan; if a feature is available but switched off, a nudge offers to enable it.

Uptime ping line (Protector and above) — a timeline of Cassian Sentinel™'s recent uptime checks over the last 24 hours. The full uptime statistics — Up/Down status, 24-hour uptime percentage, average response time, SSL and domain expiry — live on the Uptime page in the sidebar.

Order Pulse — your current order monitoring status. If everything is normal, you'll see your recent order trend. If an anomaly has been detected (a sudden drop, a zero-order period), it's flagged here with a brief description. Requires a connected platform.

Pricing Pulse — the status of Cassian's price monitoring: accidental $0 prices, inverted sales, and unexpected changes across your catalogue. Requires a connected platform.

PageSpeed — your current Google Lighthouse scores, updated daily. Click through for score history and detail.

Link Checker — how many broken links were found in your most recent link check, and when it ran. Click through for the full list of broken, redirected, and healthy links.

Sitemap — the URLs Cassian is tracking from your sitemap, with recent additions, modifications, and removals.

SSL & Domain Health — your SSL certificate and domain expiry status.

If your organisation has more than one site, a sites strip follows, summarising each site's status.

Priority actions and activity

The lower half of the dashboard is a grid of summary panels:

Cassian AI™ work summary — what Cassian's analysis engine has been doing for your store recently.

Notification channels — which alert channels (email, Telegram, webhook) are connected, so you know where alerts will reach you.

Priority actions — the open findings most worth your attention right now, ranked. This is the "what should I do next?" list. If your issue detail level is hiding lower-severity findings, a note lets you know.

Activity feed — a running log of recent events for the site: scans completing, incidents opening and resolving, checks running.

AI Search Readiness — a read on how well your store content performs for AI shopping assistants and AI-powered search.

Security (Cassian Shield™) — a summary of your most recent security scan: the number of open findings and the ratio of checks passed. Paid tiers.

Unlock more from Cassian — previews of features your current plan doesn't include yet.

The left sidebar is your primary navigation.

Overview — the dashboard page this tour describes. Always your starting point.

Account section

Sites — manage all your stores. Add new sites, open a site's page to change its settings and connectors, and (on Agency plans) set per-site monitoring tiers.

Portfolio — a multi-store overview across your whole organisation. Agency and Enterprise plans only.

Billing and Portal — shown to Agency organisation admins for per-site billing and the white-label client portal.

Site section

The Site section covers the currently selected site. If you have more than one site, a site selector appears at the top of this section — switch sites here and every page below follows.

Alerts — the incident centre. Active and past incidents for the site, with their timelines and resolution status.

Scans — your complete scan history, numbered sequentially. Click any scan for full results including every finding, the score breakdown by category, and a comparison against the previous scan.

Issues — the open findings from the site's latest scan. This is your current to-do list, not a historical archive — for past findings, open the relevant scan from the Scans page. What you see here is governed by the site selector and your issue detail level (Essentials, Balanced, or Everything); a banner lets you know if additional findings exist at lower severity levels. Dismissing an issue is done from the scan detail page, not from here.

Uptime — the full Cassian Sentinel™ uptime dashboard. Status, 24-hour uptime percentage, average response time, SSL certificate expiry, domain expiry, and a table of recent uptime checks. Requires Protector plan or above.

Security — the Cassian Shield™ security findings page. A list of all open security findings, each with a severity rating, description, and recommended action. Requires a paid plan.

Links — the full link checker results. Every link Cassian checked, with status (broken, redirect, blocked, working) and an explanation of why some links are marked "blocked" rather than broken.

Sitemap — the full URL inventory Cassian tracks from your sitemap, including recently added, changed, and removed URLs.

Feeds — manage your AI product feeds. Cassian generates four formats: an OpenAI JSONL feed, a Google Shopping XML feed, a UCP manifest, and an llms.txt file. Copy public feed URLs and regenerate feeds from here. Requires Analyst plan or above and a connected store on Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.

Bottom of the sidebar

Settings and Documentation are pinned at the bottom. (Platform administrators also see an Admin section — most users won't.)

Settings

Settings is a single page, organised into sections. What you see depends on your role and plan:

Per-site settings — feature toggles, language configuration, issue detail level, connectors — live on the site's own page: Sites → [your store].

User section

At the very bottom of the sidebar, you'll find your name and email address, with a visible Sign out button beneath them.

Switching between stores

If you have more than one site, the site selector sits inside the Site section of the sidebar. Pick a site and the site-scoped pages — Overview, Alerts, Scans, Issues, and the rest — switch to it. The dashboard header shows a read-only chip confirming which site you're viewing.

Real-time updates

The dashboard subscribes to live updates. When a scan completes, when an incident opens or resolves, or when a monitor reports in, the dashboard updates automatically without a page refresh. You'll see the alert status change, scores animate, and new entries appear in the activity feed.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I see what needs my attention?

The alert status at the top of the dashboard shows anything wrong right now, and the Priority actions panel ranks the open findings most worth acting on. For the current list of open scan findings, click Issues in the sidebar.

Where do I see all my issues in one place?

The Issues page shows the open findings from the selected site's latest scan. For findings from earlier scans, open the scan in question from the Scans page.

How do I switch between my stores?

Use the site selector in the Site section of the sidebar. It appears when you have two or more sites on your account.

Where is billing?

Open Settings — the Billing section is at the top for organisation admins. Agency admins also have a dedicated Billing link in the sidebar.

Where do I set up notifications and alert rules?

Open Settings. The Alerts section controls what deserves your attention — severity floors per channel, quiet hours, the weekly digest schedule, and per-site monitor sensitivity. The Notifications section manages the channels themselves: email, Telegram, and webhooks.

The score ring is grey / showing a dash — what does that mean?

This means Cassian hasn't completed a scan for this store yet, or the store was just added. If a scan is running, the dashboard will update in real time as it completes. If you're still not seeing results, check the Scans page to see if a scan is in progress or if there was an error.
