Email Notifications
Cassian sends alerts and digests to your organisation's admins. Here's what gets sent and how to manage it.
Email is available on every Cassian™ plan, including the free Inspector tier. Emails go to every admin of your organisation — each admin receives their own copy.
What Cassian sends via email
| Email type | When it's sent |
|---|---|
| Scan complete | When a scan finishes — includes your Cassian Score™ and a summary of findings |
| Week in review | Weekly digest — your score and its change, issues resolved, new issues, and open counts. The day and hour are configurable in your organisation's timezone (default: Monday 08:00 UTC) |
| Uptime alert | When Cassian Sentinel™ detects your store is unreachable (and again when it recovers), plus SSL and domain expiry warnings |
| Order Pulse alert | When an order anomaly is detected (and when orders return to normal) |
| Security finding | When Cassian Shield™ flags new vulnerabilities |
| Link check | When new broken internal links are found on your store |
| Pricing Pulse | When unexpected price changes are detected |
| Stock Monitor | When products go out of stock or are projected to run out |
| Sitemap | When a large number of URLs drop from your sitemap |
| PageSpeed | When a sustained performance regression is confirmed |
Your very first scan email is always sent, regardless of your notification settings — so you know Cassian is working. This override applies to email only; Telegram and webhooks respect your preferences from the start.
Managing email preferences
All email preferences live in one place: the What to send where matrix in Settings → Notifications. Each row is an event source; each column is a channel. Toggle the Email column on or off per source to control exactly which emails you receive.
You can also set a minimum severity for the email channel (for example, only warning and above) and configure quiet hours — see Notifications for how severity routing works.
Frequently asked questions
I'm not getting emails — what should I do?
Check your spam folder first. Then go to Settings → Notifications and confirm email is enabled for the event sources you're expecting, and that the email channel's minimum severity isn't filtering them out. Emails go to your organisation's admin addresses — check yours is correct in Settings → Account.
Can I use a different email address for notifications?
Notifications go to the email addresses of your organisation's admins. If you need to change your account email, contact us via getcassian.com/contact.
Can I get an email for every individual page scan?
No. Scan emails summarise the full scan result — your overall Cassian Score™ and the top findings across all pages. Individual page results are available in the dashboard under Issues.
I keep getting alerts for an issue I already know about — can I suppress them?
Cassian already rate-limits repeat alerts for the same ongoing issue — each source has its own suppression window (see Notifications). For a known incident, acknowledge or snooze it from the Alerts page (/dashboard/alerts) instead of disabling the whole source.
Can I receive scan emails for multiple stores?
Yes. If you have multiple sites in your account, each site sends its own scan complete email. Notification preferences apply organisation-wide rather than per site — for per-site control, tune each site's monitor sensitivity in Settings instead.
