Adding Your Store
Adding a site to Cassian™ takes a few minutes. You'll enter your store URL, select your platform, and then walk through a short setup wizard where you connect your platform and configure exactly which features Cassian should monitor.
On Shopify? Shopify stores are added by installing Cassian from the Shopify App Store — the install creates the site, connects your store, and handles billing through Shopify. The dashboard "Add site" flow described below is for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Wix. See Connecting Shopify.
Steps
Open the Sites page
Click Sites in the left sidebar. If this is your first site, you'll see an empty state with an "Add your first site" button. If you already have sites, the "Add site" button appears at the top of the page.
Select your platform
Choose WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or Wix from the platform dropdown. Squarespace, Magento, and Medusa appear as "(Coming soon)" and can't be selected yet — choosing one shows a waitlist you can join to be notified.
If you select Shopify, Cassian shows a link to the Shopify App Store instead of the URL field — Shopify sites are created through the App Store install, not this form.
Enter your store URL
Paste in your store's public URL — the address your customers use. For example: https://yourstore.com. Cassian uses this to crawl your storefront. You can also give the site an optional display name.
Configure your site in the setup wizard
After adding the site, you're taken to the setup wizard — a two-step flow where you connect your platform and tell Cassian what to monitor.
The setup wizard
Setup has two steps: connect your platform, then set your preferences. If your platform is already connected, the wizard goes straight to preferences.
Step 1: Connect your platform
Connecting unlocks backend analysis, Order Pulse, Pricing Pulse, and AI Product Feeds. How you connect depends on your platform:
- WooCommerce — connects inline, right on this step. You'll enter your store URL, WordPress username, and a WordPress Application Password (the wizard walks you through generating one).
- BigCommerce — connects via the BigCommerce App Marketplace.
- Wix — connects via the Wix App Market.
When you connect, Cassian automatically enables the connector-dependent features (Order Pulse, Pricing Pulse, and — where available — AI Product Feeds) for the next step.
You can also click "Skip for now" and connect later from your site's page. Connector-dependent features stay off until you connect.
If you want Cassian to auto-detect your store's languages from your platform, connect before completing setup. Once you complete the wizard, Cassian treats your language settings as chosen by you and won't overwrite them with platform-detected values.
Step 2: Preferences
The preferences step has three sections: Scanning & Monitoring, Language, and Issue Detail Level.
Scanning & Monitoring
Feature toggles your plan supports are turned on by default. Features that require a connected platform stay off until you connect. You can turn any of them off if you don't need them yet.

Features unavailable on your plan show an upgrade note on the setup page. You can enable them later by upgrading in the Billing section of the Settings page.
Language
Cassian uses language settings to power its translation quality checks. Getting this right ensures your Cassian Score™ accurately reflects your store's multilingual health.
Primary language — the main language your store is written in. This is the reference language Cassian uses for content quality checks. Select the language that the majority of your product descriptions, page content, and navigation are written in.
Translation monitoring — if your store sells in more than one language, enable this toggle and select every language you want Cassian to check. Cassian will compare the quality and completeness of translated content against your primary language.
Issue detail level
The issue detail level controls how many findings Cassian shows you in the dashboard. Choose the level that matches how you want to work:

New sites default to Essentials. This is a display-only setting — it does not affect your Cassian Score, the scan pipeline, or notifications. All issues are still detected and scored regardless of your detail level. You can change it at any time from Sites → [your store], or directly from the scan detail and Issues pages.
If your detail level is hiding issues, you'll see a subtle banner on the Issues and scan pages letting you know there are additional findings at a lower severity level.
Starting monitoring
Once you're happy with your settings, click "Start monitoring." This triggers your first scan (if one hasn't already started) and, where your platform is connected, kicks off the Order Pulse and Pricing Pulse baselines. You'll land on your site's page — or, if AI Product Feeds were enabled, on the Feeds page so you can collect your feed URLs straight away.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add multiple stores?
Yes, if you're on a direct-billed or Agency account. Direct-billed accounts can add additional sites from the dashboard, with any charge shown before confirmation. Shopify App Store accounts are single-store in v1. Agency accounts have their own per-site pricing — see Agency & Enterprise.
To add another store, go to Sites → Add site at any time.
What if my platform isn't listed?
Today Cassian supports Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Wix as connected platforms. Squarespace, Magento, and Medusa are on the roadmap — they appear in the platform dropdown as "(Coming soon)" and can't be selected yet, but you can join the waitlist to be notified when they launch.
Can I change language settings later?
Yes. Go to Sites → [your store] and update your language configuration at any time. Changes take effect on the next scan.
What does "primary language" mean?
It's the language your store's main content is written in. If you run an English-language store that's also translated into French and Spanish, your primary language is English. Cassian uses the primary language as the quality benchmark — translation checks compare all other languages against it.
What if I made a mistake in the setup?
Everything in the setup wizard can be changed from Sites → [your store]. Nothing is permanent — toggle features on or off, change your language settings, or connect your platform at any time.
